REGISTER FOR A COURSE
MISSOURI CCW
This is a state-mandated class for obtaining a Concealed Carry Permit in Missouri. The classroom portion will cover basic firearm operation, safety, maintenance, storage, Missouri CCW law, and use-of-force laws. Range session will cover the state-mandated qualification, as well as instruction on the fundamentals of shooting and dry fire training at home.
Most classes spend 7 of the 8 hours in the classroom and the only shooting students do is the state-mandated qualification. I believe that most CCW permit holders are under-skilled, not under-educated. Therefor, I strive to make sure we spend 3-4 hours on the range. Courses are taught at the World Shooting and Recreation Complex in Sparta, IL to maximize range time and freedom. Contrary to popular belief, there is no issue bringing handguns into Illinois to WSRC as it’s specifically covered here. Please transport all handguns and magazines out of reach, cased, and unloaded.
Beginner
Open to everyone regardless of skill level. In addition to required content, this class will cover practical knowledge for first time owners, including handgun sizes, purchasing, holster types, equipment, how to properly conceal a handgun, and how to overcome first-time jitters. Range time will include live fire, qualification, fundamentals, and dry fire drills for training at home.
Intermediate
This class is for those with experience shooting, training with, and carrying a handgun. Classroom instruction will cover state-mandated content only. Range time will include the qualification, with plenty of focus on leveling up skills, live and dry fire drills, and some USPSA-style shooting.
